Brightside Brewing Company is an independent, family-run brewery in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester, specializing in gluten-free beers. They brew a variety of styles, including traditional cask ales, craft beers, lagers, and even a low-alcohol option, all while maintaining a strong environmental ethos. The brewery, established in 2009, has grown to produce over 1.1 million pints annually, supplying both trade and the public.
JW Lees is a 7th generation, family run, Manchester brewery. Founded in 1828 by retired cotton manufacturer John Lees.
Take a second to let that thought settle in. They started brewing in Manchester in the Victorian era, since then we have seen the invention of the radio and the telephone. They originally delivered their ales in wooden casks, by horse and cart across Manchester’s cobbled streets.
They are based in Middleton in the North West of Manchester and own JW Lees Brewery, JW Lees Pubs, and Willoughby’s Wine Merchants. They are a sixth-generation family business which employs over 1,590 people, 153 at the brewery and site in Middleton Junction
