Store Street Exchange is officially open… and just in time for the festive season.
Manchester's hottest new place to dine has revealed a stunning, 3-course, Christmas menu perfect for work parties and get-togethers with family and friends.
As the city's new 'bird specialists' Store Street Exchange makes the ideal Christmas dining destination as they bring Corn-fed Goosnargh chickens, courtesy of the iconic, Lancashire-based Johnson and Swarbrick to Manchester's festive table! With the very best, juicy chickens cooked on the rotisserie all day, every day, Store Street Exchange offers a magnificent Christmas menu centred around fine, regional food that ticks all the right boxes for a festive celebration.
Known for producing some of the best poultry in the UK, Lancashire-based Johnson and Swarbrick believe a 'happy bird is a tasty bird' and it’s this fine rotisserie-cooked chicken that will be served up alongside sticky sausages and all the trimmings at Store Street Exchange this Christmas.
Sometimes, though, only a big hunk of red meat will do for festivities, and for that there's the 21 day aged rump steak, served with skin-on fries.
Steak at Store Street come courtesy of premium butchers, Aubrey Allen. Scrupulous in their sourcing, they are devoted to supplying the very best meat from the most natural areas of outstanding beauty in the UK - this alongside the consistent approach and purchasing of the entire animal means their beef is placed in the top 1% in the world and has been called the 'holy grail of beef'... perfectly fitting for a fine, festive feast!
Plus there's seabream, their slow cooked Morrocan shoulder of lamb (for a more exotic festive choice!), and a squash, caramelised onion and blue cheese tart for vegetarians.
The starters include leek, potato and watercress soup; pressing of chicken with charred corn relish; smoked salmon, pickled beetroot and whipped feta; and herb crusted Portobello mushroom fries with Harrogate blue cheese dip.
To finish, there's a traditional Christmas pudding with brandy sauce; melt-in-the-middle chocolate pudding; Eton Mess: or a lemon and mascarpone baked cheesecake.
This is fine festive fare, expertly executed and served in a fabulous, day to night environment.
Plus, there is a menu for the big day itself! This five-course, festive feast will be served from 12pm on Christmas Day and includes welcome fizz, a pear granita palate cleanser between courses, roast turkey or steak, as well as teas, coffees and all-butter minced pies after dessert. If it's an extraordinary, all-day, traditional feast you’re after - Store Street Exchange is the perfect urban, festive retreat for your 2017 celebrations.
To go alongside your food, there is a cracking range of wines on the menu as well as a great range of craft beers - including the Manchester Pale Ale, of which 10p from every pint sold will go to Forever Manchester. Plus, there’s a range of signature and classic cocktails, including Store Street's 'Spanking Roger' and 'Teddy Wells – both named after local characters that have been part of the site's history.
The 3-course, festive dining menu is available from £25.95 per person (£29.95 after 4pm), and is available from November 24th and throughout December. The Christmas Day menu is £79 per person and £39.50 for children under the age of 11.
So have yourself a very merry, and seriously delicious, Christmas at Store Street Exchange.
